Wheelkidz

The Wheelkidz program will provide funds to buy electric wheelchairs for children and young adults between the ages of 8 and 18 years of age. It will look at the needs of each person individually and where necessary, will help adapt the residence to be wheelchair friendly by providing access ramps and other adaptations. All adaptations will be approved by a registered occupational therapist. Wheelkidz will be funded by part of the profit raised from our Pride in Rock. All the wheelchairs provided will be manufactured by Sunrise Medical who are working closely with us on this project.

Wheelkidz will initially focus its energies in the United Kingdom and the United States, although plans are well underway to launch Wheelkidz worldwide. We are working on criteria for selection of candidates and distribution of funds. We will announce our procedures for distribution of funds over this website. Stay tuned!
