Skies In Motion

Skies in Motion are a metal band from the Derby/Nottingham area of the East Midlands (UK). The band began in 2007 when Andy Shaw (lead guitar) and Lou Adlington (bass) who had being playing together for many years, they started writing material with a long time friend and guitarist, Peter Wright. It wasn't until late 2008, when the band became whole with the addition of Sam Gaines on (drums) and Jay Miller on lead vocals.

The bands style is very much Metal, although elements of Hardcore and Punk can be heard. Some of the bands influences range from that of 'Avenged Sevenfold' through to 'As I Lay Dying' and 'Arch Enemy'.

Since the beginning of 2009 Skies In Motion have been working hard with regular practices and some very good gigs, along with many recording sessions to produce their EP "We captured destruction and threw it into the ocean".

During this short time Skies In Motion have seen great progress by performing on a "Metal Hammer Tour" with 'Bury Tomorrow' and "Kerrang" tour with the "Young Gunbs" and "Deaf Havana". Alongside this Skies In Motion have also performed with metal acts such as "Ignominious Incarnation" and "Sylosis".
